Richard is an awarding winning Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society with financial experience dating back to 1998. After his history degree, Richard completed his Chartered Accountancy exams and training and then held various high profile Group roles with Scottish & Newcastle PLC including Management Accountant, Auditor, Commercial Accountant and Investment Manager. Richard then re-qualified as a Financial Adviser and Stock Broker and has been helping people with their personal financial planning since 2005.
Richard is passionate about helping clients and giving back to the community and this lays at the heart of Wealth West. He has exceeded the FCA's academic requirements by not only qualifying as a Chartered Financial Planner but also becoming a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. One of only a select few in the industry who have reached this level of technical knowledge and academic achievement.
Richard has a thorough understanding of all personal finance arrangements however he has a particular expertise in investments, pensions and estate planning. He has also developed an excellent knowledge of tax rules and legislation.
In his spare time Richard is the Honorary Treasurer at Clifton Rotary Club and he also enjoys golf, fitness and surfing.
After graduating from the University of East Anglia with a 2:1 honours degree, Sheryl began working in financial services in 2006 and completed the Diploma in Financial Planning in 2012. She has worked in a variety of technical roles as her career progressed and has developed a specialist interest in the areas of pensions, investments and tax planning.
Sheryl has wide-ranging responsibilities in the office which include providing detailed technical reports to clients, dealing with adhoc client queries and financial planning projects. She is also responsible for ensuring the firm meets with our strict ethical and compliant processes.
Outside of work, Sheryl is studying part-time for an MA in Literature, Landscape & Environment. This reflects her interest in sustainability, which crosses over into work in an interest in ethical and sustainable investment. Sheryl has been instrumental in her work on our ethical investment service.
In her spare time, Sheryl is a violinist with various Bristol groups including The Brunel Sinfonia and The Fantasy Orchestra.
June is often the first point of contact in the office and she enjoys the human aspect of financial planning.
She brings with her a wealth of experience from previous client service and office administration roles. Her priorities in the office are to make our client service proposition the very best it can be and to ensure the smooth operating of the office.
In her spare time June enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dogs, fitness and reading.
